Yeah, though like I've said before Barca won't face any repercussions for this as they will find money or a loophole

Speaking of Lolverpool, I'm getting the feeling that the only incoming transfer we're going to see is Konate. They need to replace Wijnaldum, but unless there's some amazing outgoing deals going on, I don't see the necessary expenditure happening.

I have a funny feeling that the club sees Thiago as a preemptive replacement for Wijnaldum, and so instead of buying a new player they'll just have starting midfield of Henderson/Thiago/Fabinho and then hope that some combination of Keita/AOC/Jones/Milner/Shaq is enough for backup.

honestly if jones keeps developing well and keita stays healthy that isn't a bad group. it isn't like they're replacing gini for cheap.

they could do to bring in another guy though, maybe some kid from <lower table team> for like 25 mil who magically develops into a world class midfielder and then leaves on a bosman.

Stay away from Matheus Pereira please

Idk if he really fits the Wijnaldum mold but the point remains

Really loved Belotti when he was at Palermo, but I don't really see him making the big step up. Sub top in Italy seems like his max.

Barella though, think he could walk onto most teams

And not in for Belotti

Belotti is exactly at his level at Torino anyway. Anyone who buys him will overpay.

I don’t think Inter will sell Barella unless they can’t offload some of the crap. They already made a nice profit off Hakimi and I imagine they won’t be covering Eriksen’s salary next year.

The storyline had been that if Inter sold Hakimi for a poo poo ton of money they wouldn't need to sell any of their other star players. If they do sell Barella that probably means their financial situation is even more hosed than they're letting on.

I meant more that Inter's insurance policy is probably going to pay that out as opposed to the club.

Yeah I remember reading with Abou Diaby that after a player is out for a certain amount of time an insurer picks up the check, although I don’t think it’s the full amount due.

I think it depends on what kind of insurance they buy. I also saw that some guys get bought out of their contracts by the insurer when their injuries are career-ending, so that may be why some players retire quickly.
