The children: Bernhard Karl's son of the first marriage. A massive rear end in a top hat. Louise Karl's daughter of the first marriage. Married to a German baron. We'll meet her soon. Paul Son of Karl and Ester, the current main protagonist. Used to be an rear end in a top hat atheist, but got better. Vera Karl and Ester's young daughter. Also present: Eerikki Ljung a.k.a. Eerikki Pietarinpoika The main protagonist of the second half of the fourth book. Paul's mentor/foster parent in Finland and son of Ester's cousin. He's currently traveling with Paul. He was the last person to hold the famous magic ring in the comic, but in the book it's been mentioned that he lost it. I don't know yet, how that will play out.   This is a pretty awkward scene, but the rumor mill has been rolling and the villagers suspect that Ester has been murdered. Nancy  Dustin  Cruel Little Stories
