ANOTHER SCORCHER posted:While the trend has been adopted by weirdos as proof of white genocide, denying it exists at all is a good way to make people think you're deliberately obfuscating. Isn't part of the reason that redheads (and blondes, for that matter) are coded as childlike because those colors do actually have a stronger presence in young children, and often they fade to less intense, browner shades as people age? It's not fair to the Karen Gillans of the world who have bright rear end red hair as an adult, but I don't think it's malicious to give young children like Little Orphan Annie some bright red hair as a shorthand to remind us that they are young. And if we really wanna get into a fun discussion, we can talk about why retention of youthful traits in adults, like Black Widow's red hair, is also seen as "sexy"!

So Black Widow went blonde in Infinity War to remind those around her that the woman who was in her 30s was, in fact, an adult? And/or ScarJo feared that whatever dye Disney was using to turn her hair red would cause her to go bald and/or get scalp cancer?

Childlike! Yes, absolutely. The goofy and sexless Black male has become a staple of DisneyCIA movies: John Boyega’s Finn and Anthony Mackey’s Captain Falcon with the precocious and quippy Black female (Letitia Wright’s pre-cancellation Shuri for example) fulfilling a mirror role. Who is the real audience for these? The 90% white audiences which need to be pandered and flattered with a non-threatening, apolitical, trademarked and ready to serve “Blackness”. This is part of a larger cultural project stretching back to Bill Gates’s genocidal efforts in Africa and Bill Clinton’s 1994 Welfare Reform.

I know you're a weirdo and this kind of posting is your gimmick and that the MCU is largely devoid of sex but Sam Wilson's first scene in Winter Soldier ends by Natasha and Him eye-loving each other. Whether you want to now make the criticism that this was because the Directors were worried that some people would think Sam and Steve were gay is up to you.

Consider that Black men being an object of physical admiration while never actually engaging in the messy, dirty business of actual romance or sex is better propaganda than pretending they’re ugly. For more examples of this compare the regal, attractive, chaste T’Challa with the sexually desirable, violent, angry, ethnically ambiguous girlfriend-murdering Killmonger.

That's simple too! But also awkward. Skin and hair color are sex-linked. Among those of European ancestry for example, women are roughly twice as likely to have blonde or red hair. In darker populations, women on average have a visibly lighter skintone. So even before you get into cultural entanglements like the leisure class getting less sun, white people colonizing most of the world, and massive advertising campaigns for cosmetics that lighten skin or hair, lots of cultures were primed to see light hair/skin as "feminine."

This might be the wrong place to ask(maybe should be in comics sub forum) but isn’t the Loki storyline basically Jon Hickman’s Fantastic Four run? Protagonist finds a way into a new universe where everyone’s fighting a multiversal war, he’s just one of many, adventures ensue, at the end everything’s changed irreversibly I read that ages ago (2000’s) but if you remove the family it sounds familiar Except with Loki instead of Mr Fantastic

The gene for red-headedness is also linked to a bunch of other seemingly random traits. It's a very weird genetic anomaly. Red-heads have: - Lower tolerance for heat/increased sensitivity to pain. - Much greater susceptibility to melanoma (even compared to people without red hair who have the same skin tone) because the gene for red hair is linked to a gene that causes lower natural production of vitamin K. - Red-heads are resistant to anesthesia and require at least 25% more to get knocked out for the same length of time as someone without red hair. The first people to figure that out had to have had horrible surgeries. - They also have shown that red-heads have a much higher chance of having rare birthmarks and Parkinson's disease, but they don't know why.

Finally watched Loki and reading takes after the fact i feel like an outlier as Sylvie was right in by creating a permanent timeline all reality was deterministic and thus there was no free will for eternity. This i see is the minority view and instead that people turned into misohnysts over how Sylvie betrayed Loki or something. Not taken that a meta narrative was Loki's pre character development plan was to take over the Time Keepers and his last option and choice was his best idea was to... take over the Time Keepers. Ah well here comes Kang finally.

So the comics Loki from 616 actually orchestrated his adoption by Odin with his own time travel meddling, and that gives me some hope that a future Thor movie will have Richard E. Grant's variant return.
