I honestly kind of think Kanye and Jay-Z need each other. Some of their best work is when they team up-Jay Z can sometimes just slip into bragging about being rich, coming from the bottom, etc etc, and end up lacking soul, and Kanye might be weird and offputting at times but he has vision. Kanye lends Jay-Z much needed creative energy, and Jay-Z keeps Kanye's weird ideas on a leash, meaning they end up interesting but polished instead of baffling.
