MOTYC: Shingo Takagi (C) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship - NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam 7/25 It was put together at the last minute due to Kota Ibushi's illness, but the Ace is the Ace and Shingo is legit one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, and they put on a HELL of a match. The Japanese crowd momentarily forgot they're not supposed to do anything but clap they got so caught up in the match at times, and like all the great New Japan matches time ceased to have any meaning as we basked in the glory of the best pro-wrestling on the planet. NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam July 25 MOTYC Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo) (c) vs Mega Coaches (Ryusuke Taguchi and Rocky Romero) - IWGP Jr Tag Team Championships - These four guys rule, even without the prop comedy at the end it ruled hard El Desperado (c) vs Robbie Eagles - IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship - Two awesome wrestlers with sick leg submissions that tried their hardest to destroy each others legs Jeff Cobb vs Kazuchika Okada - Big match Kazu showed that he isn't entirely washed yet, and Jeff Cobb continues to be a complete athletic freak LIJ (SANADA and Tetsuya Naito) (c) vs Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr and Taichi) - IWGP Tag Team Championships - Zack is such a great babyface in the face of those ungovernable pricks. Didn't need to go as long as it did, but the parts where it lost my attention were small compared to the quality of the rest Shingo Takagi (c) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship - Sooner or later Tanahashi is going to slow down, his body will fail him, he will stop being one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the 21st century. But until that day comes we'll keep screaming GO ACE What a loving great show, and it could have been even better if they weren't attendance capped from the state of emergency and the crowd was allowed to loving cheer

Also while I'm here forgot to Nth this one a few weeks back: MOTYC 07/11 | Naomichi Marufuji (C) vs. Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Heavyweight Championship - NOAH Cross Over 2021 in Sendai For me this was the best NOAH match of 2021 so far.

It's got an average of 5 on Cagematch and that is silly. No where near as good as Ito vs SHO from GLEAT ver.1 but still real good. MOTYC 28th June Big Japan Ikkitousen Death Match Survivor Night 14 Ikkitousen Death Match Survivor 2021 Final No Canvas Death Match Drew Parker vs Ryuji Ito Jesus loving Christ. Drew fucks his back up bad going into a pane of glass and he just keeps on keeping on. He has to get an emergency patch up job from Chris Brookes with gaffer tape & bandages and he's too busy trying to get back in the ring before It's on properly. And these pre 5 Star Grand Prix tag matchups between Red and Blue blocks participants were great fun. Very entertaining interactions between people with diverse personalities some who are very much rivals, who never team together was a blast to watch.
