as a communist it is unclear to me what the best course of action about the very real and very widespread delusional thinking that exists among sections of the working class. just write them off, and hope that you can reach out to enough other people? try to appeal to them somehow? is there some kind of mass political approach to deprogramming perverse ideology doubled upon perverse ideology? I suppose people had a lot of backwards and completely irrational beliefs in every point of history, but this feels like a new extreme of the pathology only made possible by the kind of mass media that exists in the 21st century. am I wrong in thinking that?
