Hooks are the correct type of toilet paper holder unless you live on a boat or get regular leg spasming blumpkins and need to worry about the toilet paper falling off.

Nobody else seems to be having problems, so I guess that I lucked out and have had hosed up holders across several apartments.

Had the exact same one at the last place I worked, but they also mounted it about a foot off the ground and far enough away that it couldn't be reached while on the toilet.

It was today, at age 37, that I finally looked closely at a 'Littering Is Illegal' road sign and realized that the can isn't a face with a big, evil, toothy grin. Maybe I read too much Calvin and Hobbes as a kid.

To be fair, the article only seems to indicate that it hurts the feelings of union busters.

Oh?...

quote:

Union-buster is a divisive term, once meant to rally workers but now used to accuse employers who are often operating with the best interests of their employees in mind. It conjures up images of strike-breaking and suggests that those who champion a union-free operating environment are “bad guys” who will do anything to keep employees down, including violence or other illegal activities.  It implies a divide-and-conquer mindset, where union-free businesses and labor organizations are just out to destroy each other. But in a global economy, where companies seek out the best talent to help the business succeed, that kind of divisiveness has no place and will not help anyone succeed

Well yeah but I kind of just assumed union busters know what they are and owned it. I could respect them being the bad guy if they at least admitted it

Instead they want to pretend that they aren't villains and that's just poor form

Same with TERF, Racist and Landlord in cases where it is used in a derogatory way.

You'd be wrong, scab means something completely different.

Scabs, while contemptible, are better because at least they perform labour rather than extracting value from others.

If union busters don't want to be called union busters, the next most correct term is 'parasites'.

Ah, this is more the people who prevent the unions from forming and dissolve the early stages of organizing. I misunderstood and figured they wanted to bust unions by crossing the picket line and replacing unionized workers.

I'm not sure why you would think this. Wikipedia is a singular proper noun so it doesn't take a "the" unlike dictionaries and encyclopedias which are common nouns.
