Maybe the parents just really like Neil Gaiman's "American Gods"? I think there it's either "Low-Key" or "Low Key" though.

I mean it's terrible regardless, just name the kid Loki if that's what you're going for.

I wonder if his buddies just called him 'Ralpher'.

It took me a while to realize -a and -i were not meant to be part of the names. With the wild stuff in this thread, why not Atabex-a (or -A) and Onesti-i? Today's typography tip: hyphens and dashes are not the same, and a single unspaced ASCII '-' just looks like a hyphen and can really throw off rhythm and sometimes actual comprehension during reading. In short, in lieu of an actual dash character, spacing on both sides and/or doubling the '-' will greatly help. :eng101:

He sounds like a libertarian who's claimed the seedy area underneath a bridge as his own sovereign territory, and will soon be trying to charge cars on the bridge for driving over his airspace.

Assuming that people are making fun of the funny names because they definitely 100% came from a given ethnic, racial, or social group is honestly just as bad.

While this thread does have the potential to head into dodgy territory (and has in the past), merely discussing the possible pronunciation of novel names is not racist.
