Since this is offseason for most leagues, having the Euro-based players sit this one out means they can have a proper offseason/fight for playing time with their club. Steffen is firmly the backup at Man City, but he's still had a fairly long season.

Yeah this honestly feels like a game that will be decided by a random fuckup or lucky bounce now. It's now +390 on the US at Fanduel, which I suppose is fair if they're going by 'result after 90 minutes' but otherwise seems like it was set by someone watching Mexico playing with more skill while being completely oblivious to the history of matches between the two sides.
