I feel like surely a big part of what makes a succession plan work is simply the outgoing coach feeling legitimately like its time to move on and the incoming coach being really open to a bit of extra mentorship. If you got an outgoing coach that is being pushed out or an incoming coach that doesn't like the idea of their hand being held in any way then you're gonna have a bad time.

Somehow I don’t think putting Viney on the stand was a great move by the defence Viney says he was trying to "deescalate" the situation by holding his elbow on Collins. Viney says that Collins was telling Viney to hit him and Viney said 'don't try me'.
