Pfizer and now Moderna have pretty much stated that due to pre-clinical trials with a year of data the waning in protection point is around 6 months.

Pfizer estimates around 2 - 3 percent is lost a month which over 1 or 2 year would lead to a gradual decrease in vaccine induced protections.
