I could be very wrong but my general impression of Cody is that he wants his legacy to be a successful wrestling promotion. He's ambitious enough right now to feel that the best way to get there is for him to be a top guy and build other people up. You wouldn't have got Lee Johnson's excellent performance against Miro without Cody and Dustin mentoring him. Triple H by contrast seems largely to get over at the expense of people, no matter how many "points at the guy" selfies he takes.
