Hello thread, I made on off-handed comment today to a left-lib friend I've been trying to fully crack-ping about how Islamist fundamentalism was more or less invented by the US intelligence apparatus during the Cold War, but when she asked for a source, I couldn't remember where I'd read or heard it. Possible it's just a weird false memory of mine but if it's not, can someone point me to any writings and/or podcasts on the subject?

If you're a citizen of the US, your country, at least the government apparatus that claims to represent you, and has a hand in enslaving you, are the bad guys.
