Does your youngest have speech therapy or something else? Sorry to pry, if it's too personal I understand.

Speech therapy but he's also antisocial (i.e. he runs away screaming when other kids approach him) which is why he qualified for this program I think. He's already doing virtual therapy.

I'm in the same boat but am gonna send him. My rationale is that he will be the only kid with a kf94, so the class will get a quarantine or shut down from other kids getting it before he gets it. This is obviously up to you but Id roll the dice if I were you, because next January there's no guarantee our kids will have their second shots and cases will be higher than ever. And who knows about next fall

That's pretty much my thinking behind sending her as well. But, things are getting so bad I'm rethinking it. Like, if the local hospitals are full in a couple weeks, do I even want to take a chance?

Also they don't quarantine classes for asymptomatic positive cases lol. I'm asking admin for clarification on policy. I already said "I thought the point of health measures was to prevent symptomatic infections".

I asked the principal if I can send a Corsi Cube with my kid, if not I think I'll pull the trigger on home schooling, tears be damned.

We've had fertility problems for years and the last couple years are the only time I've really thought... maybe we're not so unlucky after all. Really feel for parent during all this. It's not like school canceling or going virtual is even a positive outcome for kids or figuring out care. It's just negative all the way around.

Our school has yet to release the quarantine procedures. During pre-K last year the whole class went home for 2 weeks for a kids parent reporting him covid positive, but I don't expect that again. I do think they will quarantine the kids sitting adjacent to a positive case but there's going to be a lot of social pressure to not report. There's going to be a lot of games played with the 3 foot rule

It appears to be self reporting , so it's obviously a crock of poo poo

crystal clear like it’s encased in glass, this was the moment I started paying attention to politics.
it was followed about a year and a half later by bush trying to expand the war in Iraq and Afghanistan into Iran and North Korea, “the Axis of Evil” in response to an increasing number of servicemen being blown up by IEDs on the side of a desert road.
