Draymond averaged 7 points per game on 6 attempts per game last year. All he can do is pass whereas Simmons can pass and drive. Obviously his inability to shoot is a huge liability and his weaknesses are more glaring in light of how much raw potential he has (1st pick vs. Draymond being a mid-second rounder) but he is unquestionably better at this point. People are just undervaluing him right now because of how shameful his playoff performances were in the second round this year I mean it's also insane that he needs to be taken out at the end of games due to bad free throw shooting and his poor half court offense, but the dude was still second in DPOTY, really good in the open court, and 24 years old.
