As with everything else Dougie touches, the plan goes awry, and he winds up handing Trudeau the majority he covets.

Election related it appears both Barrie incumbents (CPC lackeys) are running again. In my riding, Barrie-Springwater-Oro, the NDP/Lib/Greens have yet to nominate candidates (which is weird given how close the race was last election). For Barrie-Innisfil it looks different though. NDP have a BLM organizer and climate activist as their candidate. Liberals went back to their previous candidate, a school board trustee. The north has a much larger minority and immigrant population, as well as having the majority of the younger voting group thanks to the college. New mask mandate for BC interior today. How's the public opinion on Dix and Henry these days? I was fed up with them months ago but these days I'm flat out pissed off at them waiting until the last minute to announce these press conferences because it makes my job harder. I'm just so tired of her nervous little giggle she does every time she deflects questions.

Here's my issue: why should I vote for a candidate who's presence is so far: a name, and a website with more mentions of Jagmeet Singh than of himself: https://calgarycentre.ndp.ca/? And this is a development, at least they finally put his name on the website! The Greens are doing better in the same riding: they have a picture and a bio! Wow! Why should I take a candidate seriously when they do not appear to take themselves or my vote seriously?

Yeah just speaking for Vancouver Island but the Liberals, Conservatives, and Greens were all missing candidates in at least one riding here as of earlier in the week. NDP probably only has a full slate because they are the incumbent in 5 of 7 ridings. Cool your jets.

Seeing how the BC Ministry of health and its management class handled covid in their offices gave me zero confidence in how they'd deal with it for the public. They seemed much more concerned over "preserving office culture" and "supporting downtown small business" than keeping anyone safe.

What is the NDP stance on mandatory vaccinations? All I can find is a thing from Singh about how Trudeau did not give enough detail on the timeline. Would they also impose mandatory vaccinations? As someone in a federally regulated workplace who has to work with a few anti vax people, I hope so. Edit: found another press release pushing for a deadline so I guess they're for it. Good!
