I read the first 3 Foundation books and I'm so glad to see other people making GBS threads on the series. The first book was a cool collection of short stories and then it just turned into hot poo poo for books 2-3. Thank you for letting me know the rest of the series is a waste too. I haven't watched the show trailer but I'm gonna guess it looks like a hot mess. It's just gonna be a series of episodes ending with twists because PsYcHoHiStOrY

current pet peeve: films where the audio engineer was lazy and just put all the dialog on the center track, and the streaming service is also written by lazy people and just uses the left+right channels for your headphones, so you can't actually hear poo poo i swear actually paying for films gives worse results than the free alternative

i watched first half of green knight last night, will finish this evening Get the absolute best rip you can. i watched it at pretty low bitrate and it's an extremely dark/shadowy film and the banding is intolerable it's still beautiful though

I mean, yeah, it’s canon and it necessary to understand everything that happens in season 3 but it’s just not a very good movie. pacing feels weird, casting feels weird, atmosphere feels weird, and not lynch-weird, just “off”. i got the 2160 just in case but watched a fairly small 1080 rip. i remember one instance of banding, and i thought "aw dang the visuals are gonna be messed up" and then it cut to a different, brighter scene that really should've had banding but didn't. it made me happy. didn't see any other banding or artifacts after that. this was on a 1080p tv
