I don't know why people are guessing about who shouldn't get the vaccine. The information is right in the factsheets. People who shouldn't get Pfizer: • had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of this vaccine • had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine. People who shouldn't get Moderna: • had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of this vaccine • had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine People who shouldn't get J&J: • had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine.

But in theory if you had a bad reaction (like anaphylaxis or something) to the first shot they might tell you not to get the second, leaving you unvaccinated. My girlfriend's masseuse legit passed out and had to be taken to the hospital in the 15 minute wait after her first shot, so yea, it happens just very rarely.

As I've mentioned before anaphylaxis (and general post-jab problems like fainting and nausea) are both far more common with Pfizer than AZ, which is *why* there's that 15 minute waiting period. Very much anecdata but I'd say it's maybe 1 in a couple hundred need at least to have a lay down and some water, 1 in a thousand or so that just pass out, and about 1 in 2,000 that have a "classic" anaphylaxis reaction needing an epipen and an ambulance, whereas the only problems I saw with AZ jabs were much more about the considerably older age/general vulnerability of the population getting it.

Looks like my wife has it.  We're both experiencing the same symptoms actually, but my rapid test results were negative. We're holding out a little hope that hers was a false positive. The Pfizer vaccine seems to be mitigating any symptoms really well, feels like a mild summer cold as we quarantine.
