yeah it's probably still going up. which isn't unexpected at all. actually finding the cases lags behind infections by 10 days. it has always been like this. if you do something you see the effects 10 days later. they just locked down last week so they'll have rising numbers until then. why is everyone always confused by this???

I am issuing a 72 hour stay at home order, something that will definitely not work in any way since it takes 10 days for cases to be detected after infection so in 72 hours it will look like nothing got better and i can throw up my hands and say WELL I TRIED before giving up entirely and dooming tens or hundreds of thousands of people to death

this can be done with a simple household mister. the light moisture activates the ingredients and greatly increases the effectiveness of the treatment.

they are extremely afraid, and narratives around it all being a conspiracy, fictionalized, overblown or similar started falling over what with the megadeaths. these people are not monsters nor caricatures, they are aware of and can observe the surrounding catastrophe they've just been thoroughly ideologically primed to deny and disarm the risk and to actively distrust and disobey any collective responsibility or action.

so you're terrified but obviously can't easily flip from several years of increasingly radicalized opinions and beliefs, and some significant fraction of these beliefs are that collective responsibility is both ineffective and somehow harmful and that centralized authorities are lying to you. you now know covid is real but do not believe in any of the mitigation strategies, and that the people who produced them are lying. of course you'd take dewormer, or bleach, or vape colloidal silver until the insides of your lungs look like they've been chromed out. you'd do anything, believe anything, pay for anything.

had a patient today, sick as poo poo but incredibly nice and police, in his 60s but still yessir nossir the entire time

ends up he runs a horse supply store. end of the appointment i just casually ask if they're out of ivermectin. He just went off about it. some country as hell guy on a rampage. two best quotes

"I never gave my kid a distemper shot cause they had a cold"

"that wormer made my dogs go blind"

he's in a small county in WNC and they're not out of ivermectin, but they also haven't seen anyone show up and try to take it.

this dude actually is that tweet about knowing every horse in the county.

919 cases today in Sydney. They're now getting more daily cases than some Aussie states have ever had total since March 2020.

South Australia (i.e. Adelaide) has only had 870 total cases. Western Australia (i.e. Perth) has had 1,064 cases total so they're next.

Wait why does Oz have "ern" on the end of western but not south on state names, that's weird.

Workers comp mri's are the worst. The entire plan of care for patients is based on some weird algorithm invented by the insurance company and at no point are you allowed to stray from the path. Almost as if it is intended to delay and hinder your treatment and rehabilitation as a form of retaliation.
