I bought the Octarius box and I’m looking to part out the Orks, Krieg, and Ork shanty town terrain. Anyone interested?

I was thinking $60 apiece for the Orks and Krieg, and $80 for the terrain, plus shipping.

I strongly disagree. I’ve been resin printing for a relatively short time and I’m shocked at how easy it is. Yes, I occasionally get print fails, but almost always I can identify what I did wrong. I use proper PPE at all times. My prints look sharp and the Lychee slicing software is a dream. I would strongly recommend this for anyone who wants to make terrain or accessories, or even entire models.

Seconding all of this. Yes, it is a hobby unto itself, there is a little bit of a learning curve, but drat if the results aren't totally worth it. If I painted from now until the end of the year, I wouldn't get remotely caught up on my STL pile of shame. And luckily, the STL pile of shame consists of a shitload of files sitting on my 6 TB external hard drive, instead of a pile of boxes/packaging that takes up additional room in my closet or wherever. :v:

Are the Krieg multi-part plastic? Can I swap heads?

E: Found the sprues online, but I can't really tell if it'd be doable to put different heads on them, or if all that poo poo on their chests is separate.

Just an FYI, but if you don't mind going third party, there are some resin kits very similar to the old Valhallan range out there. I've ordered other stuff from all three in the past and was really pleased with the results from each. Victoria and Anvil did require some minor cleanup, but ArtelW was ready to paint after a quick wash in soapy water and the removal of the gate.

I just want clarification on something about the new Kill Team. Let’s use Krieg as an example.

Every game my base Krieg Kill team will be ten troops consisting of (if I remember correctly) 1 Sergeant/Leader unit + 9 specialists (one of each max)/generic troopers mix. 4 additional generic troops could be added via the strategem thing.

So, if all I own is Octarius, I basically field every soldier I build in every game, right?

man of my word costs me

Random Kill Team Octarius question:

Each model has a covert/active token that flips to show their status, but they'll only ever have one of these two and only showing one side.

They also might have a wounded token. Are there other things that are likely to attach and follow the little buggers? Overwatch? A wounds left die?

I wanted to know for... reasons.

You'll need injured tokens for units at half wounds. Dice would be handy to mark wounds on models to avoid bookkeeping. You'll also need something to mark +/- AP for lots of the factions. Overwatch only happens with big difference in model counts, but if you have a bad memory some kind of 'has fired overwatch' would be handy.

You could easily combine the injured token + dice for wound tracking. White dice with total wounds when above half. Red dice with total wounds for injured.

14 guardsmen, including a sergeant and up to one each of: comms, flamer, grenade launcher, meltagun, plasma gun and sniper rifle. You could bring fewer special weapons than that if you want to, but you wouldn't really get anything to balance out having less of them.

Gotta say holy poo poo it is cool to have idea, then prototype of idea in your hands in two hours. 3d printing owns.

I don't think I can fit a full wound die without making my thing significantly bigger than what I'm aiming for. Wounded token sure but the wound die might have to tag along.

It costs more on shipping than it costs for the bits.
