It just went to poo poo when Vince signed all their stars and Gagne fell behind the times, leading to that miserable 80s death spiral. By the time they got on ESPN it was basically AWA in name only. Honestly it's kind of refreshing that we got a boomer-rear end "back in my day" take that isn't about Memphis or Crockett for once.

violent/stiffness aside, those matches at least are good whereas that entire Nia match loving sucked rear end lol. It was wrong to lead off with the "unsafeness" of it because now people are using this as a shield. they should be forced to defend it on the grounds that it somehow isn't complete dogshit from a pro wrestling perspective
