I had low expectations for Internet commentary (buffered by these last couple of years politically and especially the last 2 years or so with the election and Covid), but this blew right past them straight into the cesspit. Lots of faux “I’ve been a liberal/Democrat voter all my life and this is going too far” outrage. I expected it in the Jeopardy FB peanut gallery and on Twitter, which is why I’ve avoided those venues. Didn’t expect to see so many in the NYT comments section of articles covering this. Don’t know why I expected better. Absolutely sick of it, glad it’s not in my usual Jeopardy discussion places.
