Holy crap this asynchronous cyber kindergarten our school district offers is terrible. We'd be better off homeschooling, but this is the only way we keep the option to switch to in person for the 2nd semester. gently caress this sucks as a parent. I can't even find any specifics for COVID procedures for the elementary school and only district wide stuff. They mention a goal of 4-5 Air Changes an Hour, but has that happened already 8 days out from school starting? What will her classroom have and do they also have a HEPA purifier in the room? Will every adult she comes in contact with be vaccinated? What's the vaccination rate of the school staff? Super great having none of this info available. I can't believe we're going to have to homeschool our kindergartner while everyone else is Open Biden and talking about how excited they are for school to start.

Came in to work this morning and heard someone in my area start coughing with a wet hacking cough. No one else in the area seemed to notice. I called our HR manager who promptly sent someone up to escort the person out and told them to WFH. The HR manager told me this was a regular daily occurrence somewhere in the building. She said that earlier in the week she had someone complain about being sent home with a cough because “it’s not like it’s Covid or anything, I’m vaccinated.” loving hell, people are stupid.
