As a former oncology patient I am absolutely appalled. Society is completely breaking down if we’ve come this far where police just allow “protestors” to harass cancer patients.

The far right used the anti vaxx and anti lockdown sentiment and went turbo on organizing and recruiting. Too bad no leftist institutions did the same, but when they block hospital access, facilitated by the cops (if they did not make arrests, they facilitated it), then when is the time to take to the streets against them?

Speaking for myself, it's once kids are vaccinated.

Yeah, it's time to start using their heavy-handed approaches against them. The left cares too much about blowback, thus letting their opposition use tools against them freely. If the concern is things blowing up and people getting hurt, guess what? Letting the far-right act freely has killed hundreds of thousands now. The cost of action can not be more than the cost of inaction at this point.

As the child of a former oncology patient who lost their battle, I can barely imagine the rage I would have if a group of narcissistic monsters had directly interfered with his treatment and harassed him afterwards. Fighting cancer is hell on Earth already. You have my utmost sympathy for what it's worth.

Those of you looking for some argument ammo against anti-vaxxers you know, start here. It's not about rights or health concerns, anti-vaxxers don't care about anyone but themselves and use circular logic as an excuse. Many of them are blinded to how they got to this point, and that is probably not their fault, but the soft approach won't work. Call them out.

Think of it this way: If you run over these chucklefucks, the hospital is RIGHT THERE! I'm sure the nurses would give utmost care to anyone that was just outside their hospital protesting their hard work.

Please don't actually run anyone over.

Fortunately I don't drive or even have a license. I do not mean be THAT heavy, but we need protests and political action that are more than just inconvenient, and go after the political and media figures that are perpetuating this anti-fact, anti-social rhetoric. The individual followers are a problem, but we won't fix this by going after them, its the figureheads and major influencers doing the most damage. Always punch up folks.

Again, "go after" I do NOT mean violence. But it will qualify as harassment, and that's where this does get dirty and where the more morally-motivated don't want to go, but have thereby been losing ground to those that are A-OK with it.

On CBC radio today I had to listen to an anti-vax airline employee whine about how the vaccine passport/employer vaccine mandate is forcing him to choose between his "safety" and his job. All I could think was I hope this idiot loses his job, both about the anti-vaxxer and the CBC editor who decided to give his idiotic views airtime.

Police actually doing something about these protestors would have really upped their persecution complex beyond anything else. I'm already arguing with human sized dogshits that they are not being treated like the Jews were in Nazi Germany. Police should have made sure these "protesters" were nowhere near the hospital though. Generally I'm for protests (in the generic all round sense 364 days a year when those protests aren't a bunch of neo fascist plague lovers) but hospitals should be absolute no go zones for any protests.

They won’t get rid of the hate preacher using an extremely loud sound system outside of Metrotown, they only intervened with the hate preachers on David because they broke a man’s leg, and there was that other one who came down to harass the gays that they protected and escorted out when the crowd got rowdy.

Speaking as someone in the aviation industry, I hope all the loving morons who are anti-vaxx quit, and I'd piss on them on their way out. There's people who aren't loving morons who want those jobs, and we all want to be safe so we can hold our medicals and be healthy to fly long-term.

If you don't have the critical thinking necessary to decide the vaccine is a good idea, you do not have the intelligence and judgement required to act as flight crew. This is not negotiable, it's black and white; in this job, you will have to make safety-critical choices in situations that aren't clear cut, and if you can't pass this specific test, which is the easiest of any possible grey area you could be confronted with, then you simply do not belong, full stop, no questions asked, surrender your loving license.

Oh yeah, if you're not going to take safety procedures seriously or take adequate precautions to protect yourself from any sort of contagion while working in a sealed, pressurized system for hours at a time, often days at a time? Forget it, you lost the right to work there.

By the way, here's your daily reminder that the UCP, to a man, are 31 flavours of complete scum:
