That's not what gaslighting means you hyperbolic dipshit.
Joe Bonamassa might be good at his instrument but he pisses me off on a personal level because one of his "hobbies" is basically buying every single vintage guitar and amp that crosses his field of view and locking them away in a warehouse somewhere. He has videos where he walks through his gear sanctuary place and is like "oh hey over there check out my pile of twenty four original 63' Fender Tweed Deluxe amps just kinda grouped together in the corner in my own personal museum that only I can visit." There's no way he could ever have time to play a fraction of all the stuff he has, much less more than one or two of the multiple instances of any of it.

Joe Bonamassa is basically the DeBeers of the vintage guitar world, driving up prices through creating artificial scarcity.

God I cannot wait for loving NFTs to fold. Or at least I hope they do, they seem like a more unstable concept than bitcoin. Also not suprised that Gibson's getting in on the grift. Any one know if Fender or any of the other companies will follow suit? I hope not but it is easy money if you have a brand and can provide them.

Commodity Fetishism

Commodity Fetishism shorts the +12, -12, and GND pins of your eurorack system's power supply together via an SPST switch.

This in all likelyhood will destroy your power supply and, depending on a wide variety of factors, either at minimum damage most of your pre-existing modules or at the worst destroy them outright.

Wildfire Laboratories has no way of fully determining the result of you flipping the switch - we can, however, confirm that the switch used is rated up to 126 volts at 6 amps - far greater than any eurorack system can supply. We can thus say with confidence that the module will perform as intended and create the aforementioned connection.

Wildfire Laboratories bears absolutely no responsibility for the result of using this module. By purchasing this device you confirm that you have read this documentation and fully understand the results of using this device as intended.

Nah, Boomers have retirement accounts. They didn’t have to deal with that 401k bullshit. They’d have to get an advance on their annuity or something.

They'll pay out the nose for any imaginary right to say they "own" something other people don't / can't just for the bragging rights, even if they get literally zero actually tangible benefit.

It's not about the thing, it's about showing your neighbours that you can afford the thing.

I think the millennial version is showing your neighbours that you don't need the thing instead, and being equally smug about that. See also: playing a squier instead of a fender.

Apparently one of the reasons he left Korn was they kept trying to tell him his setup was too extra and he was not compromising.

My guiding Moonlight...

I remember some poo poo like that with package I've ordered before and a goon told me that area tends to be a major shipping hub for carriers and a lot of the times it's more practical for them for them to ship poo poo in bulk over to the hub and then divvy it out to it's location. Seems stupid for us but I guess when you're on the scale of FedEx/DHL/UPS it somehow makes more sense.

For $3500 you could do better in both turntables and guitars. Also I know sunburst is an iconic guitar color but man do I find it boring. Miami blue turntable when mofi? Or Lake placid blue I'll take that too.

The right sunburst can look fantastic on the right Les Paul, and it can look pretty cool on the right Strat, but on literally anything that's not a stringed instrument, it just looks like awful midwestern furniture you'd buy at a Cracker Barrel.

Ginger Baker:
- lived and worked in Nigeria and Safrica for decades
- recorded and toured with Fela and Africa 70
- told white militias offering 'protection' to gently caress off
- imported his Nigerian polo team into an all-white polo club and got run out of the country for it (again)
- married a Zimbabwean woman
- hated everybody who wasn't a polo pony
- dead

Clapton:
- Nathan East in his band I guess
- had word "Enoch Powell" for a mouth
- anti-vaxxer
- not dead yet
