Next season? Let's see. Definitely 86, I thought part 1 started out weak and then it grew into one of my seasonal favorites. I'll be watching Blue Period for sure, since I posted a pretty specific request in the rec thread and it was one of the ones that came up. I've only read the synopses for Deep Insanity and Sakugan, and both sound like an alternate-universe Made in Abyss. Granted, I actually liked Made in Abyss, so I'll check 'em out. And if The Faraway Paladin lives up to the good word it's been getting, that too.

Part of me wonders if the MLA anime is going to be a stealth commercial for a remake because man those aughities eroge designs could use a bit of.... Less... eroge designs from the aughities-ing (As proven by the fact that the anime makes them a bit less... like that)

anime made today needs to be more like eroge actually the muv luv chars cast immediately distinct silhouettes and everything iconic about them is gone in the anime designs, its kind of wild. makes me really glad something like fate never loses touch of how iconic saber and her ahoge are. Right now, the only Fall series I'm going to watch for certain will be Isekai Shokudou 2 because food porn. A couple others I'm thinking about are: Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu - but if the embarrassment humor gets piled on (which is all too common with this genre), I'll dump it. Mieruko-chan - This one looks like nothing BUT embarrassment humor, but in a way that I might just get into. If nothing else, I want at least a sample of the kind of monster designs to expect. Shuumatsu no Harem Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei - testosterone-fueled high school power fantasies, HOOOOOOO!!!
