Look at one of Tay Conti’s entrances in NXT vs one from any random recent Dark, it’s night and day I’m terms of her enthusiasm. Yeah, I became a fan of Ruby Soho through her appearances on upupdowndown (rip da party), and her reaction to the crowd's reaction to her appearance at All Out, and the genuine joy in her voice during her post-event interview both had me cheesing like a motherfucker

so ive been trying to figure out who the gently caress ethan page's friend is on his toy hunt stuff. Not very hard, but I am notoriously faceblind, especially when people are out of a costume I have seen them in regularly. That's Smart Mark Sterling, Jade's manager! poo poo! I thought it was just a backstage guy who I had missed the establishing episodes on. That guy is WAY different when out of gimmick, and I have loved seeing him geek out over toys with Ethan. Ethan Page's vlog is a proclick yall

I felt the same way watching TK put Skye Blue in the Casino Battle Royal, which certainly came off like a genuine surprise to her. WWE would have purposely humiliated an enhancement talent for getting that crowd response, but AEW leaned into it and got a great moment out of it.

Yeah, I think one of the most interesting elements of AEW for me has been the subtle shift in my perception of how wrestlers are feeling at the company. I like watching people who are sincerely having the time of their lives, I like watching people who feel valued and appreciated. I like watching people goof off with their friends. Week after week, AEW performers just exude this joy in their craft that I didn't know I was missing years ago. Five years ago, I wouldn't have thought stuff like Sammy's Vlog or or BTE vlogs on Youtube would've made me feel different about the in-ring stuff, but there's just something infectious about seeing people who are having a genuine blast. I can barely even watch clips from certain other promotions just because you can almost sense of funereal it must be to work there.

I'm glad that Dante's outstanding performance is leading to him being given more opportunities. Win or lose here, he's clearly proven something to the people who matter. Poor Darius is going to have a lot of pressure on when he returns. If he's lost a few steps, people are gonna wonder if Dante should even be in a tag team. That said, I am hoping he recovers well and soon. I was happy to see Anna back and Tay's big smile when it happened warmed my heart.
