I usually don’t like remix albums that much, but the Dawn of Chromatica album is actually really fun!

Didn’t care for Alice and a couple others but 911, Replay, Free Woman with Rina Sawayama, Enigma, Plastic Doll and Bree Runway on Babylon are all really good.

Song slaps but this music video is making me feel really inadequate. I really gotta hit up the hip adduction machine more often, girl's been working out in quarantine.

I think my first post ever in here was on 80s Pop because that's mainly what I listen to. I talked about Sandra a bit because love her music, but recently been addicted to her previous act, Arabesque, a 70s Euro Disco trio.

My fave song of theirs right now

Anybody else here like Euro Disco? Recommendations?

Not sure if this is exactly what you're after but for modern italo disco, Italove are good fun and sound like they've come straight out of the 80s.

Bunny X are also pretty great for italo disco/hi-nrg sounds but I think their most recent releases are leaning into synthwave now rather than classic italo disco unfortunately. The older ones are fab tho.

This label has put up some fun and silly throwback euro disco on bandcamp too, all really 80s eurodisco sounds https://electropotato.bandcamp.com/

Really? I liked Chromatica a lot but I'm listening to Dawn of Chromatica now and I'm not feeling this at all. 911 is the first one I've thought was neat but I'd still prefer to listen to the original.

My first listen I wasn’t feeling it but I think I was just so used to the original songs it was a bit off putting but after a few listens I almost prefer some of the remixed songs more. I think the original album is really underrated though , but yeah, I’m into some of these remixes. Plastic Doll, Free Woman, 911, Sour Candy, even Stupid Love. Good stuff.

It's a piece of JUNK!
Well if anyone is listening to the Metallica Blacklist, be aware that YouTube Music seems to have completely bungled a bunch of the artist and track titles. Kind of makes it a chore to listen to when you can't just glance at the artist name, especially since I don't really know a lot of their work. But I was all like "is that actually what Rina Sawayama sounds like? Man, I was way off. Not sure what all the hype is about..."

Ive only listened to a couple so far, but the Jason isbell sad but true is good. And the Miley Cyrus song is great just for the first 15 seconds of Elton John playing nothing else matters.

The Kamasi Washington song is good too even though it’s not really recognizable besides the lyrics. Maybe that’s a plus.

There's a surprising amount on non-English stuff on the compilation and most of it is pretty cool. The reggaeton version of Sad But True is especially bonkers.
