Even if the wilder possibilities fail to pan out it should be a game changer going forward for a lot of diseases.

It's just some special sauce surrounded by lipids and goo - then you can tune the special sauce to whatever you want and bingo, your body will attack it. Spike protein on a coronavirus, weirdo cancerous cell that your body doesn't normally attack - why not? Of course, I'd expect that personalized poo poo to cost $texas, but scale that poo poo up and suddenly it's cheaper than a lot of other cancer therapies.

Only comic nerds paid attention to the movie, because the comic was a landmark in Comics. No one else cared. Agreed on the context being less relevant but i think it still holds up well with world building and characters. Great execution of how a superman wouldn’t relate to humanity, a gadgeteer couldn’t handle the brutality, and a crime fighter who thinks in absolutes cares zero for hygiene or social skills. The best spinoff was an RPG sourcebook Who Watches the Watchmen? as Moore hadn’t fallen out with DC yet so he was still advising so the plot and ideas maintain quality. I especially liked how if a player wants to be Dr. Manhattan they know what’s really going on and are in no danger from combat so have to figure out how to participate while being aloof from human affairs. Like if he wants to intervene in combat, has to roll well to not to be distracted by a fascinating supernova a galaxy away.

Uh, wow. I was at NASIC for 3 years; it's a giant SCIF made from several interconnected buildings with only a few entrances/turnstiles. The news stories all reference messages saying the shooter was "in NASIC" not "near NASIC," so I guess we'll look forward to hearing about how some airman or civvie brought his pistol in and started shooting their coworkers.
