Lol everyone that deploys needs to get like a dozen loving vaccines and this has included stuff like the Anthrax vaccine that was basically pushed through the FDA and not really fully approved or too low efficacy or some poo poo but the military is more than willing to take the chances. But of course it's the vaccine that actually highly effective, very safe, and very needed that pushes the brain genius F22 and B52 pilots over the edge and made them go AWOL (which I'm sure is totally true! The bald guy with sunglasses in a truck's dad totally told him about it! It totally came by text message and demanded action within literal hours!).

So two developments goons. One that is occurring and one that might. The one in progress has to do with the collapse of the Pacific Islands Forum. This was triggered in February of this year with the election of Henry Puna to the position of Secretary General in a 9-8 vote. Now why is this a problem? Well it was understood that while the position is elected the holder would rotate between members of the Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia regions. Except Micronesian nations have had only one of their own be Secretary General in the last thirty years, but this year is their year! Then it wasn't. After years of frustration at being sidelined. Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, and the Federated States of Micronesia announced their withdrawal. Efforts to coax them into reconsidering have failed. So the Pacific Islands Forum will formally lose a third of its membership in February 2022. The second thing is the approaching expiration of the Compact of Free Association between the United States and Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), and the Republic of Palau in 2023 for the former two and 2024 for the later. Things are particularly strained with the Marshall Islands. As that is where the US did a lot of nuclear bomb testings (the radioactivity is higher than at Chernobyl) and a lot this was sealed into a containment dome. The rising sea levels threaten to spill all of this radiation waste out across the islands, but the United States has responded to the Marshall Islands that since it is on their land it their problem. The Marshall Islands have been clear that they will not sign a new Compacts of Freed Association deal without the nuclear issue being resolved.
