Yeah it was embarrassing and never should've happened but on the plus side 1) Evander didn't get hurt and gets to save face 2) Vitor kept the De La Hoya fight alive and might be a candidate to face a Paul brother soon. 3) lmao Tito 4) Trump was mainly just boring and didn't call for another insurrection or people to take horse suppositories to treat Covid 5) David Haye called out Tyson Fury which I think could still happen some time next year.

I don't follow boxing at all anymore but am very much into the history and its heyday. Somehow I'd never seen this Legendary Nights documentary on Gotti v Ward and it's great. Usyk is a great boxer but I am still surprised at how many are talking up his chances. If he were 6'7" it'd be a different story, but as the shorter man with less pop on his punches he's going to need some Matrix moves to win against AJ.

I rewatched Joshua-Parker, which I think is a pretty comparable fight to what this will be, but Usyk is a much better looking fighter at the moment than Parker was at the time. That was a fight Joshua had a lot of trouble with and got bailed out by the ref a bit. I think this will also be a hard one for AJ.

Plant's looking to get lit up. Speaking of fight PPVs it looks like someone at triller realized October 4th is a monday and are now trying to push Lopez-Kambosos to october 16th which appears to be a saturday. I was gonna say this was their fourth time pushing the fight back as an exaggeration but I looked it up and it's actually the fifth delay lol. Not official yet as Kambosos needs to sign off, I can't imagine his team is too happy about getting jerked around basically a week out from the set date that probably fucks up whatever cross planet travel arrangements they had set. And as a fan I would be pissed if I had made travel arrangements to go.

I've gone back and forth on how much I like the idea of an Usyk upset, but my feeling is the fight goes the distance with a lot of uncertainty on how the cards go. Usyk had a lot of trouble with Chisora's constant pressure but I think against AJ he'll have a lot more room to work. Joshua might do well to emulate Chisora and make it a wild, fast paced fight, and not let a guy with great footwork and sense of range get too settled and think his way through rounds.
