Reading Okaeri Alice, it occured to me how absurd most tragedy mangas are. As long as you're engrossed in the story and the narrative, the story works and is a good read. But the moment you go beyond that and start to critically think about what's happening, you realize the absurdity of things going wrong for the main character all the time forever are.

idk, some people truly just have terrible luck. ive known a few people that spent their entire lives going from personal tragedy to personal tragedy and poo poo just never ever let up on them. real book of job poo poo. the only unrealistic thing about those stories is when it keeps happening and they dont really get depressed or anything. only one of the people i mentioned is still alive because the others killed themselves or died of diseases (2 cancer 1 roni) after long enough. world is a gently caress. hug your friends
