An article I read in the Athletic says Texas has seven defensive ends or linemen in its 2022 class already so Sarkesian recognizes it's an issue at least

LMAO top 10 VT by your poll.

I guess honestly tho the defense is looking p good and the offense has some dudes worth a poo poo on it. But still LMAO nope, although honestly if we beat WVU and roll into ND undefeated you know the poll dudes will want us in the top 10 for the TV ratings they will try and pull to the ACCN.

At least the Vols were kinda fun to watch highlights of as opposed to just head scratchingly embarrassing and hurtful to the game of football.

e: apparently the Hokies best offensive player TE James Mitchell who I thought could have a real Kyle Pitts kinda year tore his ACL on a jet sweep against MTSU LOLLERS and is out for the year. Sucks for him cause I think his season would have gotten him drafted high and bad for the team since he's the best weapon on the offense.

Sark says Thompson will be starting at QB next week for Texas

quote:

"I thought Hudson was all antsy in the pocket," Sarkisian said, saying Card moved around too much. "We weren't great protecting him early on in the game, but I thought he was a little antsy and we missed some opportunities. The game could have easily gone a different direction than it did."

Sarkisian said both quarterbacks would continue to play, but said he thought it was "fair" to Thompson to let him get the start against Rice (0-2) in Austin on Saturday.
I don't really fault Card too much given the line but he also wasn't doing much impressive. He clearly has a big arm but he missed receivers more than a few times. Just given their age I'd rather Card emerge as the starter but is what it is I guess.

All I'm hearing about Florida is they have a quarterback controversy and fans think the backup is better than the starter. Don't worry Gator fans, you play Kentucky in a couple weeks, the springboard for backup quarterbacks arriving mid-game, coming from behind to win, and taking their teams to new heights (see: Trask, Kyle; Jackson, Lamar; Bridgewater, Teddy).

Good

I think they’re both good QBs but Thompson has looked slightly better so far. Although he didn’t play last game until after Arkansas had already won, so they may not have been trying as hard against him.

Jimbo is so averse to swapping QBs back and forth that I wouldn’t be surprised if we just never see Haynes King again, unless Calzada is just downright disastrous.

Yes!

If they also play QB/HB and defense and place kicker

The next season was his big one. Playing about 50 minutes a game as a single-wing tailback on offense, safety on defense plus punter and place-kicker, Janowicz was the hero Saturday after Saturday. He attempted and completed six passes, four for touchdowns, against Pittsburgh. In an 83-21 victory over Iowa, he accounted for 46 points by running or passing for six touchdowns and kicking eight extra points. On the season, he totaled 561 passing yards, 314 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. He was voted the Heisman Trophy in a runaway over Kyle Rote of Southern Methodist.
