E: wrong thread, Mailata owns though. He was road grading dudes. How is a dude this studly not still crushing it in rugby?

I remember when we drafted him there was talk that he literally outgrew the sport and needed to move up. Do we know for sure that he's even wearing pads?

e: Found a good quote in his Wiki page - "It has been stated that Mailata was only offered a reserve-grade contract due to fitness and conditioning concerns. The South Sydney coaching staff did not believe that Mailata would be able to physically keep up with the pace and nature of professional rugby league, due to the free-flowing play and limited stoppages in games. Mailata was given the advice from his agency to "play a sport that appreciates his size"."

won't do another season of this. it's crushing my ability to watch football and have a good time. im going back to when I was 8 years old and a Rams fan because of the greatest show on turf. the maras will never improve the team. NYG haven't had a winning record since 2017.

Eagles outside of the billion pre-snap penalties looked really good, but they also played against a rec league team so I don't want to get too excited yet. The Falcons low key might be the worst team in the league.

The Dak INT:

Pretty basic play design on 1st down that asks your QB to drop a lazer beam in a bucket for a huge gain.

Its a double post route that assumes both your receivers will get open in the seams. (They do) as they hit their break, the outside corner will pass off his man, and the ILB will trail cooper. The safety is going to have to make a decision.

The key is for Dak to read whether the single-high saftey picks Lamb on the outside, or Cooper on the inside.

Both receivers are in a seam, and Dak is locked in on his key, and has to pick a target and fire as soon as the saftey's hips turn one way or the other.

you can see that the split second that the saftey has turned for Cooper, Dak is already halfway through his motion to throw to lamb. Coop looks open in the frame before, but by the time the ball arrives he's the high CB with speed and momentum was already there, so Lamb was the right read all the way.

In the .5 seconds that it takes the safety to throw the brakes on and try to wheel back to Lamb, the ball is already over the linebacker's head, and about to hit Lamb right in the chest. You can also see that Cooper would have been covered, and was probably supposed to break upfield if the safety keyed on Lamb instead of him.

Of course, the ball hits Lamb right in the chest, then bounces out for the interception, but a very cool play nonetheless.

Thank you for the cool break down and explanation.

Also, I think the Cowboys will win on Sunday, by 26 points.
