School Summer Project talk: The only summer project I remember was having to read The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey for my AP European History class. I remember it because the book became one of my favorites as well as having the easiest test I ever took. At the start of the first class the teacher asked "Did you read the book?" and "Did you get the point?"

Mary Worth Wilber talk: If Wilber does end up getting a dog, I hope it goes something like this (I know it won't, but I can still dream). Also, anyone else think that Wilber is to the Mary Worth strip what Buck is to Rex Morgan MD?

Classic Kevin & Kell in: a week of random stuff (August 4-10, 2003)

The last strip is a reference to a quite famous cartoon from 1812 (!) which denounced gerrymandering. And if you don't know what gerrymandering is, 1. boy do I envy you, and 2. google it and get informed.

If there's one thing I have to give it to Holbrook, it's that his political opinions (as much as can be discerned from these strips) are quite pointed, and often align with mine. We'll see more about it tomorrow.

It's just irredeemably crap. It's not like, 9CL bad or Moon Over June bad. Those are poo poo comics, but they're something that deranged souls put time and effort into.

Intelligent Life is the kind of garbage some talentless hack produces a week's worth of in 15 minutes with clip art and an unfunny unengaging story based on his fantasy-of-the-week of what he wish he could he could have done to those dastardly jocks in high school 25 years ago.
