Yeah, DCA gets served by one of those and it's always kinda :stare: to see it on climbout when everything else are ERJs, E175s, A320s, and 737-700s.

I thought this was like the 747, in that the base model was shortened for “Special Performance”, but no, this is the base model.

A couple of years ago I was stuck at DCA for a few hours and was watching the runway, my favorite thing was seeing the 757s in the air before the 737s were even rotating

Heavy 737's use an amazing amount of runway to get off the ground, so apparently keeping the same basic wing for the last half century may not be a great idea.

In Seattle, I've seen MAX'es headed to Hawaii and Iceland use substantially more runway than 787's and 777's flying substantially further, so I'd imagine that a v1 cut or zero flap landing gets really interesting in those situations.

Heavy -800 and -900s have vrefs that are faster than an average 747-400 or -8 landing speed. That thing flys fast on final. Also check the DC8-62 for a loooooooong stretch from the original

The CL-600-2E25 is a CL-600-1A11 stretch.

This is as accurate as saying a 737 max 10 is a 737-100 stretch aka 100% the truth legally.
