I don't need to have multiple devices that I'm just gonna wind up playing Aria of Sorrow and Gunstar Heroes on again for the 50th time each, but I want to have multiple devices that I'm just gonna wind up playing Aria of Sorrow and Gunstar Heroes on again for the 50th time each.

Don't you guys think the Odin is kind of like the spiritual successor of the Android consoles? I think if the Steam Deck is successful the low end will be filled by android phone consoles made by actual phone companies. All you need to do is take a $300 SD870 mid tier phone, add the Switch style controllers. Hopefully the different companies can agree on a common clip on interface.

I’d probably buy a small android handheld that was a little more polished than the RP2

It was such an unbelievable piece of poo poo.

Pandora's Box-based countertop mini arcades that run off vape batteries and are actually attractive and with surprisingly good quality controls, plus room to replace the pandora board with a more powerful rasberry pi or even x86 board. Widescreen is unfortunate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd3ihGQtnaw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXJC9A3WKZQ JazzFlight posted:The nD so I can play Bob's Game. Helll yeah

I had no idea this thread existed! I'm selling an RG351P over in SAMart if you want one that's already in the US. I got into Vita modding instead so now it's just sitting there. I do have a hunch that once the Steam Deck comes out though I'll move to that.

stephenthinkpad posted:Out of curious I googled "smallest gaming console" and I got Pocket Sprite from 3 years ago. That seem to be a much better size and emulator option. Pocket Sprite is a bit bigger but I don’t think the Thumbly is meant to be played, really, just a “we made this very small.” As far as I know, it doesn’t run any GB games, just small older games that could run on a microwave screen is necessary.

I have a pocketsprite and that thing isn't meant to be played either Probably the smallest game console you can get that's actually intended to be used to play video games as its primary function and not just to look cool is the game boy micro And it's right on the line. If they'd released, like, three more faceplates it would have tipped over

That's an interesting comparison. The main reason I love the Micro is pocketability. I know it's subjective but seems like a lot of handhelds these days hang out smack dab in carrying case territory.

My Vita and 3DS feel too small sometimes. Anything smaller I wouldn't be able to use. On topic, what's the best solution for Saturn emulation that's under $300? It doesn't even have to be a portable, it just needs decent emulation speed for Saturn/GameCube with the PS2 and Wii being nice bonuses.

It's been a long time since I've seen a micro in person but isnt it like twice as thick as the trimui too? The pocketability of the trimui is even better than I hoped it would be, it functionally adds no bulk to a pocket.

Pablo Nergigante posted:Saturn emulation is notoriously wonky. You’re probably better off just getting a used Saturn and installing an ODE Thought about that but I need too much else to make it work. Isn't Saturn modification still on mod chips? And I need a CD burner and cds and I'd rather tolerate the extreme slowdown on my tablet for the one game I want to play. Thanks though.
