Endorph posted:the middle stretch is pretty rough since it introduces like 3 incredibly dull boyfriends that add nothing to the plot and dont go anywhere but the acting stuff is good when it circles back to it I quite like the focus of this episode as it's also a real good "Oh this girl like me...ohh" moment that I hope the series works on more

Oh yeah, it's not really come up since. The villain has like stalker vibes for Fena, but there's nothing like what was in the first episode.

FYI Kodansha is having a manga sale this week, just glancing through some prices most stuff that was around $11 normally is about $6 right now so it's a good time to jump on anything you've been putting off getting original list price & discount levels vary but that's kind of the average I was seeing -- on digital editions btw I didn't check print

Well, they own Crunchyroll now, so I'd bet everything there is moving over.

i was gonna say, they just announced a bunch series they'll be streaming so it'd be weird if it shut down: the heike story (already airing), selection project, mieruko-chan, the vampire dies in no time, banished from the hero's party, taisho otome fairy tale, ranking of kings, rumble garanndoll while crunchyroll has: blade runner: black lotus, the faraway paladin (i like the concept of 3 monster parents!!), the fruit of evolution, ganbare doukichan, high guardian spice, kiyo in kyoto, muv-luv alternate (VN nerds love this VN), the night beyond the tricornered window, platinum end, sakugan, takt op.destiny, tawawa on monday, world's end harem, the world's finest assassin, restuarant to another world s2, 86 s2 and both will have yashahime s2 The 7th Guest fucked around with this message at 06:17 on Sep 22, 2021 |

Patware posted:unless i memory holed something, The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic is the okay one i think wrong way to use healing magic is about the guy whose white magic teacher is essentially Noi from Dorohedoro and teaches him how to pummel people while being an unkillable monster. Fun concept and I remember it being firmly ok in execution and without the "support role gets kicked out of the party for not topping dps charts" vibe that's a bit of a drag in other series i tried a few chapters of. Really hype for Mieruko. Manga owns utterly.

I watched the first short of Star Wars Visions and man that's a pretty badass lightsaber duel. I wonder how much money Disney threw at the studios for these. Probably not a movie level budget, but I'd believe above a typical TV budget.

It helps that they're only 15 minutes on average. Money goes a long way over a shorter runtime. The second episode was goofy. Didn't need Jay to be a Jedi, though, that added literally nothing to the plot. Also their music sounded a bit too buttrock. I haven't watched the rest yet but going by the episode blurbs almost every one of them involves Jedi in some way or another and ehhhhhhh I know that's what most people want from Star Wars but could we not get some more scum and villainy instead of space paladins?
