I haven't been following pupkin but I occasionally read one that gets posted without any context and I really appreciate how inscrutable a single comic can be if you don't follow it at all. Reading just three panels can land anywhere from confounding to alarming.

The art in both of their strips is so equally lovely, and it never improves even in the slightest after 20 years.
