Since I don't know much about cars, is towing capacity more about the engine capacity, or more about the structural frame of the car? I have a Subaru Forester, which has a measly 1,500 lb. towing capacity. Only heavy thing I towed with it was a uhaul trailer from Chicago to Cleveland. I probably exceeded 1,500 lbs. after I loaded that thing up, but not by much. I keep thinking about towing a camper trailer with it, but I could only get the absolute smallest one out there.

Has anyone used Carvana and have any good or bad feedback? My knee-jerk is to be leery of anything involved in car sales, but they seem to have decent pricing and a friend got a good price on selling her car to them a few weeks ago. Also I abhor the idea of paying for a warranty on a used car or bringing a car to a dealership for service, so cutting out all of that infrastructure seems like a win, too.

I don't do any towing. If the Maverick is doing well in a few years and Toyota doesn't put out an EV or hybrid truck I'll give it a serious look. It looks pretty much ideal for my life. I like the Ridgeline too, and I wish it had a hybrid or EV drivetrain available.

There are a lot of factors but generally engine power, transmission and oil cooling capacity, and suspension load-capacity are probably the biggest ones.
