When a team is kicking your rear end sometimes you need to establish the run to slow the game down, keep the ball out of the Cowboys hands and give your defense a chance to breathe. Eagles tried to turn this into a shootout but they showed up with a Nerf gun

We have this talented guy named Miles Sanders and this other talented guy named Kenneth Gainwell and Siriani thought it was a great idea to forget they both exist.

The owner doesn’t agree that it makes sense to run in that situation so

Dillard can barely pass block, let alone run block.

Why don't they just pass all the time even when they're ahead? Then they could win by hundreds of points.

euphronius
Feb 18, 2009

You want to run the clock out when you are ahead obv

I think honestly the nfl should keep the clock running on incomplete passes and then we would never see a run again which would be great

I'm not going to crucify Hurts when the opposing defense already knows that a pass is coming literally every single time.

Jesus christ this coaching staff-

Sirianni - colts,
Steichen/OC - came from chargers where sirianni was before the colts,
Gannon / DC - came from colts,
Patullo / passing game coordinator - colts,
Jason Michael tight ends coach - colts,
rb coach Jemal Singleton - came from bengals but was the colts coach 2016,
dbacks coach - from the jets,
Everyone else is pulled out of college.

Except for Jeff Stoutland, the entire coaching staff is brand new and mostly from the Andrew Luck's corpse-era Colts.

The Colts, Chargers, Jets, and Bengals have a combined two playoff wins in the last 5 seasons. Certainly organizations you want to tap for talent.

Look, you don't come across super bowl winning coaching staffs every day. That's why we had to fire the only coach to ever get us a super bowl because he didn't like howies utter poo poo personnel decisions and the meddling with his staffing decisions.

I can’t get over the fact that the Eagles ran ZERO plays with pre-snap motion. Absolutely insane!

It could turn around. There were good things for y'all yesterday! Your defense had four sacks and a fatman pick 6. You had a running back with 12 ypc. There is a future in the eagles!

Too bad about Hurts and the rest of the team, though.

I thought they could at least be competitive with both lines healthy.

Graham done
Seumalo done
Brooks out 6-8 weeks
Mailata probably out another week or 2

Hurts stank two weeks in a row, but I’d like to have a healthy line for further evaluations. This is fun!

in the modern nfl you gotta be able to play with a stank rear end line

didn't the eagles fire and replace their entire medical staff like three years ago? after that one season where they lost, like, everybody?

imo Parsons looks legit good (through three games) while the last few hyped Cowboys LBs looked sort of butt and got lucky for a while. like yeah the Eagles offense sucks but he did chase down Jalen Hurts after changing direction, he’s good OP

Black summer was the best summer.
I would prefer if parsons would be used as a DE less. He isn't under sized at the lb position, but do we really want him lining up with against tackles for a big chunk of the game?
