Not bad but disturbing Basically Dee with the power of one of Dream's stones goes to a diner which has about 14 or so other people in there (can't remember the exact number). Over 24 hours/the course of the entire comic he uses the stone to control the people in the diner and has them act out in certain ways. First he makes them do whatever things but as the comic continues he makes their actions more and more horrific so that by the end of the comic he has them all kill each other in the most brutal ways. The whole comic just takes place in the diner and it is really horrific

It's basically a process of removing their filters. So at first they are maybe a little louder and a little more open in their prejudice, but they eventually progress to....you know, more than that. It's kind of torture porn-y, insomuch as the only narrative goal it serves is to show that Dee has gotten his hands on some very serious power, and he's also a total monster in how he uses it. You don't really need an entire story to get to that point, when the pay off is so trivially obvious. Guess what, the random jackass that stole power is in fact going to get punked by the cosmic being he stole it from. WHO EVER COULD SEE THAT COMING?! As Gaiman says, you can kind of just skip it and you'll miss nothing.

I'm going to put the resolution of the story behind a spoiler in case people don't want to know the aftermath of 24 hours for Sandman. The resolution of Dee's battle with Morpheus rubbed me the wrong way. I haven't read the story in ages but after 24 Hours, Dee fights Sandman, of course he loses but Morpheus thanks Dee for pushing him to his limits and reminding him of who he used to be/what he gave up when he created the Dream stone and releases Dee into Arkham where he can be among the other crazies. After seeing the absolute horror that is 24 Hours, which is an entire issue, it just felt like there wasn't a real punishment, or anything, especially considering how Morpheus treated others in the story arc (like the endless nightmare stuff). Maybe Gaiman was trying to show that Morpheus didn't really care about the affects on people and such but Dee got off way too easily after showing how evil he was

Yeah, it's a mistake to think that the Endless' sense of ethic and morality resembles ours. Take Brief Lives for example: Dream and Delirium goes on what they consider a fun road trip where a lot of people die in horrible ways and one man is driven insane by Delirium. Yeah, at this point in the comic series Morpheus has no feelings for anyone other than himself, and his relationships are all about what people can do for him, consequences be damned. The fact that he even put Dee back in Arkham rather than just taking the stone and leaving him was even going more than you would expect of him.

New What If: The plot has kicked in, and while this version of Ultron lacks a lot of charisma that I can't help but think Spader or Paul Bettany might've been able to serve up, the stuff with Uatu was great and it probably had the best action of any episode so far.

That there wasn't even a fight cracked me up. Ultron just immediately hits Thanos with a Fatality and goes "Oh neat" on the other Infinity Stones. Glad the plot finally kicked in. Uatu, you have got to stop monologuing while within arm's length of universe power level bad guys. Cap as President is also a funny background event.

Why would it go to Netflix? They have the rights to all the characters from the Netflix shows. There was I think a 2 year period where they couldn't use them, but they're all free now. But it seems pretty likely on it happening. Cox has been rumored for ages to be in No Way Home, and D'Onofrio as Kingpin is rumored to be in Hawkeye where Echo is debuting. I think Marvel will just wait until after those appearances happen before making any official announcement.

It almost worked, and it ended at a point where things had real potential to be interesting if they could keep putting the work in. They should give Luke Cage and Iron Fist one more season each, ending with the creation of a Heroes for Hire show.

The character rights reverted to Marvel/Disney, but Netflix would still own the content of the shows. To do an actual season 4 follow-up probably means some money being paid to Netflix. They can afford it of course but do they want to?
