Well, the vast majority of them are like 10 minutes a pop. Also there's only two I really remember, the one where Bob does a Suicide Prevention Awareness PSA while a hip-hop beat plays underneath it, and the one where Bob has a meltdown as Mantzoukas' engineer starts to question the entire endeavor and Bob screams the N-word at the end.

Anyhow I signed up sight unseen and I'm excited to hear the TMNT/Scott Hasn't Seen stuff this weekend

Once you sign up for CBBWorld, there’s a drop down for the podcasts they have and you just click the Overcast button and it’ll open the app and do it for you. Super simple.

They also have a feed for the Seth Morris Radio Project which I thought was amazing despite not getting much talk. Hopefully that’ll come back for another season.

Hope they fix the interface and add 'PODCASTS' as a button to the left menu. Took me a long time to realize I needed to click on my profile and then click podcasts there to get that menu opened up. Too used to Stitcher/Earwolf interfaces where you can just listen in browser.

Gave Big Daddy Aukerman $70, he's earned it. The discord is funny, as while I'm sure there are people who subscribed at $70 and didn't join it, have to imagine it's a decent barometer for how many people have signed up at that tier. So far it's around 600 people, neat!

I don't use any podcast players, just usually use Spotify. Is Overcast the best for downloading / playing em'?

Podcatcher preference is highly personal and you should just try the options listed on the Podcasts page and see what you like.

I use Pocketcasts and like it a lot, but I've also used Apple, Castro, and Overcast and they were all fine. Try them out!

Nobody move and nobody gets hurt.

As someone who does 90% of their podcast listening through a browser while at work, Stitcher has actually been really great since the redesign, and I honestly wish I could just add the CBB World feeds into that interface. Most of the other apps I see people recommend are clearly phone-oriented, which doesn't really help me much. I guess I'll give Player FM a try, it seems like the highest-recommended browser-based app.

Pocketcasts has a website and Windows 10 web app. The syncing is really good in my experience. I think Overcast also has a webplayer as well?

I don't use a podcast app, I just use Swinsian to download the MP3's and put them on my phone, since I work in a building where I get absolutely no cell reception. The only problem I have with this is the MP3 doesn't have the title of the episode, it's just media.mp3. Luckily, it has all the tags, so when I put it into my phone, it displays correctly. Doesn't help if you want to find a specific episode of the show to put on your phone, and you're looking at 500 media.mp3's. Thankfully, this is 100 times better than stitcher, which couldn't even tag anything correctly.

that's what a podcast app would do for you, before you get to the building - all automated. why are you jumping through many many hoops

Yeah pretty much all of them have a function to download and keep x most recent episodes etc.

I didn't know about the Apple Podcast 'Station' feature, so now I'm using that and it does what I need for CBBW nicely.

I listened to my/the first episode of CBB years before I became a regular listener, before I really got the concept of podcasts, so I was just kind of sitting at my computer listening to people talk and feeling bored by it. I checked it out again later after I heard people did characters, since I liked when people played characters on a radio show Besser had on XM years ago, but the big change was that I finally figured out podcasts are for listening on the go, so I listened when I was out walking or running or driving or whatever, and it was great for all of that. Some of the early episodes still weren't really the best, but the show hit its stride pretty quickly.

I think when he got the rights back he like re-edited them somehow. It's been a while since I read about it. The original website for it was freedownloads.xxx, I poo poo you not. But that was like seven or eight years ago so I would not try that link now.

EDIT: The direct download zip still works. How about that.
