Hm, he definitely owns it. I'm guessing you're remembering him either referencing previous or historical owners, which he does a lot, or the owners of some of the adjacent properties. In one of the earlier videos he detailed how he came to buy the property.

I've got so many Youtube subs at this point that I can't keep up with all of them. Here are a few of my favorites:

New England Wildlife and More - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNo_M6MhRkOJ3wsp-YoRpFA
A really interesting guy who opens decades old canned foods he somehow obtains. Although he claims that the food "doesn't smell that bad", this channel is probably not for weak stomachs because the contents of these cans are usually pretty foul. NEWM will often take small samples of the food and look at them under a microscope, so if you're a weirdo like me who is oddly fascinated by this sort of thing, you might enjoy the channel.

Pretty similar to the SteveMRE guy, whom I think came up earlier.

The Proper People - https://www.youtube.com/c/TheProperPeople/videos
An urban exploration channel I only just recently found. These guys explore old abandoned/semi-abandoned buildings in their area - everything from turn of the century asylums to dead malls. The videos are well filmed and they usually include some history of the place they're exploring.

Legal Eagle - https://www.youtube.com/c/LegalEagle
I'm surprised Devin hasn't come up ITT yet. Legal Eagle is a lawyer who explains lawyerly stuff in a way that average people can understand. One of my favorite things he does is to figure out how many laws were broken over the course of a movie.

That's not a movie i'd ever watch but i just sat here like a maniac for an hour and change watching that. She's a good critic. From the clips and her description it is insane to me how this won awards and got adapted to film in the first place. I guess to cash in on the success of that PT Barnum musical by the same hacks? Maybe I'm just out of touch with what people want out of musicals, they're not my thing.

It took me ages to realize she's dressed (and makeup-aged) as the character, i just thought she had surprising hair and slightly bad makeup and an arm cast, i guess, for like 45 minutes of that.

Jenny Nicholson is great. THE Vampire Diaries video is one of the best things I've seen on Youtube. My home town is very similar to the place the show was filmed and she touches on the place as an overall background to the show in ways that I immediately understood. She's never lived in the South, but clued into the whole vibe perfectly.

Nicholson and I probably have nothing in common. I haven't even seen, or am interested in, most of the things she critiques. The critique itself is super interesting. She's a very effective communicator, with a great amount of respect for her audience. Humane, if I had to pick one word.

I'd recommend anyone to watch her channel, and if they like it, subscribe to her Patreon. This opens up a bunch of "rambles" that are, to my mind, just as good as the free content.

Mentioned once already early on, but Bedtime Stories is really good for spooky content, one of my favourite channels. They make an effort to give a fair and balanced approach to paranormal stuff (although they do seem a little bit gullible sometimes). It doesn't really matter anyways, even if you're a skeptic it's just atmospheric creepy stuff to watch at night with the lights out. There's also:

Scary Mysteries - Pretty much what it says on the tin

That Chapter - Mostly true crime, and presented mostly in a straight, matter-of-fact manner, but the content is still pretty dark

The Paranormal Scholar - takes a documentary approach to all things paranormal, although there is also list-based content as well

Top 5s - It sounds like WatchMojo for the paranormal, but a lot of their content is pretty good. They seem to lower their standards a bit during October but they still seem to a step above the usual channels that post "ghost" videos of stuff being thrown across a room

Anyways, for non-spooky stuff that hasn't been posted yet:

Animalogic - interesting videos focusing on the weird world of animals (and sometimes plants)

Christopher Odd - Lots of video game stuff has been posted already, this is just here in case you like Let's Plays but don't want to watch screaming manbabies like Markiplier or Pewdiepie

Criminally Listed - True Crime stuff. The narrator's voice is a bit annoying and he seems to use the same music all the time, but the content is interesting

Name Explain - All things etymology, particularly with geographical names

outsidexbox - This has been mentioned a few times. Started as a generic video game list channel but has developed into something all its own. It still has a lot of list-based content, which I largely ignore, but has some unique things like the already-mentioned Oxventure. Also when a stealth game comes out, they'll have a "3 Ways to Play" series where Andy will play full stealth, Mike will go loud and aggressive, and Jane will do some sort of compromise between the two

Raycevick - Somewhat in-depth video game analysis

Rick Beato - is ubiquitous but maybe some music nerds have somehow not heard of him. Has descended somewhat into clickbait territory but still has some good content

Ryan George - Short comedy sketches of a guy talking to other characters who are actually himself. He does stuff for Screen Rant, who I hate, but ehhhhhhhhhh

Spectre Sound Studios - an angry, sarcastic sound engineer rips into clueless musicians and dumb music industry practices, but also has good tips for people who sit at mixing boards moving sliders and pushing buttons

Stealth Docs - if you love stealth games as much as I do, this is a must. Was inactive for a while but seems to be back in action

Vagrant Holiday - I have no idea why I find this so fascinating but I do. A guy basically travels around the globe on a dime and lives like a bum while exploring. Yeah he will occasionally rant about european socialism or antifa but mostly it's him interacting with the locals, hitching rides, and trying to avoid getting robbed (doesn't always succeed). Of particular interest was him visiting an island lockup where they apparently keep dangerous pedophiles while trying to avoid the authorities

Vinyl Rewind - Going by the overall esthetic, you'd expect this guy to be reviewing Charles Mingus or Miles Davis records but no, it's largely reviews of prog and classic rock

Tantacrul - Possibly one of the most niche music channels, an Irish classical composer makes fun of music software. I especially like the video where he examines how manipulative reality TV music is, coining the term "AutoSad"

I find a lot of people dismiss Jenny Nicholson, as just some kid reviewer, but her insights are really, really good. She understands plot and character extremely well, and really can get at the heart of why somethings bad or weird or just wrong. Like she's cute and meek but that's her style. The funny thing is she's been a while and I've heard she's a fairly respected comedy writer, I remember seeing her on episodes of @midnight back before everyone found out that Chris Hardwick is garbage.
Her Hallmark one is fantastic.

He's a little long winded and tends to ramble but has a lot of interesting stories of his time in the mob and reviews of mob media.

He basically started the channel during lockdown in March last year and the early videos are a little rough but he's sort of turned more into a chat/podcast kind of thing where he gets actors from those shows and talk about it all.

Franzese is probably the best out of all the former mob guys on YouTube now. He touches on more topics than Sammy Gravano. And while they all bend the truth, he isn’t as flagrant about as John Alite or Gianni Russo. I do feel a little weird being excited about the “sit down” with him and Gravano. Especially since Rudy Giuliani is a big part of it.

It is hilarious how much they hate each other though.

Appears I'm the odd one out wanting that because 99% are silent or just the tool noise, sort of quasi-ASMR.

But I like videos like that in the background while I play video games or just read dumb poo poo on my phone.

I've found a couple individual videos from channels that are otherwise just took-noise, but not a whole channel where the person talks over to say what they're doing and perhaps why.
