If all else we are about to see how valuable Russ is to the franchise these next few weeks. If the offense really sucks poo poo Russ has the leverage to say "fuckin' told you so" and force a trade to bail after the season's end. If it sort of hums along being carried by Lockett and Metcalf, Carroll can just claim Russ is a system QB. I'm 99% sure the first scenario happens.

Trey looks and acts like a rookie but with more experience he's going to be very good. The season isn't over yet, but the 49ers have to win all the out of division matchups.
