Now, hardened by historicals, I'm going back to paint up the army that I wanted but never managed to paint up. Square bases all the way, mostly old school greenskins. I have maybe some 3 000 - 4 000 pts sitting in my cupboard now, and painted up my first three goblin units. Feels good.  Back then I could barely paint a unit in a year, now I'm easily pushing out 2-3 units per month when I'm in painting mode.

Using methylated spirits to strip the THIN YOUR PAINTS basecoats so I can paint them. Working on a unit of archers at the moment, and just going to work unit by unit until I have a finished army.

Finally getting around to assembling the Blissbarb Archers from the last big Slaanesh release and these might be some of the most over-designed battleline units I have ever seen. Every one of them is a character-level of detail. Gorgeous of course, but lord I do not look forward to painting 33 (or more) of these things

I just have two pressing questions for Old World: 1) Have they said if Lizardmen/Seraphon will be in it? 2) What about Chaos Dwarves? Less pressing but still kinda curious: 3) Will we finally see what the armies that weren't in WFB but named dropped look like?

Kislev will probably look like the Total War faction more than the old models, and they just revealed Cathay in TW, so I’d be surprised if they didn’t show up in Old World as well. The confirmed time period for Old World is during the Time of the Three Emperors. So this is essentially Fantasy Horus Heresy because its set during a period where the Empire where not the most stablest.

So, is the Stormcast command trait Shock and Awe supposed to trigger on teleports, too? Because it says it triggers when a unit is set up in the movement phase. Which you can do not just with Scions of the Storm ambush, but also with Vanguard Palliadors using Ride the Winds Aetheric. Are they supposed to be able to repeatedly trigger that?

That new season layout reads like a pretty good way to burn someone out on endless product churn. I'm buying Harrowdeep because I skipped Beastgrave and Direchasm and would like to be a bit more current, but I'm skipping the next one. Like that deadass reads as "core set and 2 warbands a season" lol Edit: it's probably not but what does 2 core sets even do for the game?
