There was some card this weekend where one of the... I guess it counts as a spot?... was one of the guys cut off part of the other persons finger with a box cutter. It clearly was planned which I don't know if that makes it better or worse. Pictures are around if you go looking but yeah some indies are doing the same dumb poo poo of those worst followers of ECW did to be "more" hardcore. Mid South has a hell of a legacy in among the farce where as Deep South didn't act as a platform for 2 or 3 generations of indie wrestlers, it just existed for the worst sort of death match poo poo. The hierarchy of continental US IWAs is Mid South -> East Coast -> literally anyone else you can think of -> Deep South. Last I checked they had the Confederate battle flag in their logo because of course they did

I remember Ian Rotten appearing for one of their deathmatch shows and immediately tossing like 2-3 weapons from the ring before the match started because they were quite blatantly just fatalities waiting to happen. And when Ian Rotten does that you're in some extremely deep and lovely waters.
