I think, is that the only map available? Feels a lot like BF4 so that's really all I needed. Would like to see the full gun selection. Not crazy about the new control scheme. Being able to adjust weapon attachments on the fly was novel for like 30 seconds. If they added that shortcut into the respawn screen it would be more useful IMO. I die enough I am on the screen a good deal of the time anyway and changing optics or under barrel attachments in game wasn't very useful to me. I would rather have L1 be throw grenade again(selecting it sucks). I also am used to spamming R1 to scout out enemies but now you can place pings on the map with it as well and I don't care about that. They don't seem to have the personal medic packs or ammunition bags you can toss to your buddies, just the large cases you have to place. Hopefully they are in the full game, BF1 I liked spamming bags to my bros. I also don't understand the character choices. Each character has their own special weapon, but then you choose your loadout. Like the SF Marine guy has the grapnel gun and the old lady has some funky medic gun? But each of them can have any class loadout. Hopefully you have to set different characters for each type of team (U.S., Russia) otherwise we are currently having the Marine guy on the U.S. and the Russian Teams and it is hard to decipher if they are a friend or foe. Was hoping for a map with a super storm but I did see the rocket launch. Bloom effect was cool. If the game is about super storms from climate change I would be impressed. The Marine guy is also wearing a Notch brand hat which I really want for when I go to the range. As long as the maps are good I will be picking this up. Anyone playing Metroid Dread?

I got switch witcher when it was on sale this weekend and hadn't played it before, it scratches all the same places as BOTW except for no ability to climb and 300% more frontal male nudity

Apparently, some intensely stupid fuckers have resurrected "Six Days in Fallujah" and want to turn the Battle of Fallujah into a video game. https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/09/us/six-days-in-fallujah-iraq-video-game/index.html I guess they thought that "hey if we wait 11 years since the last time we tried and got shouted down we'll be able to get it released." gently caress sakes. Looked up Highwire Games and it's Marty O'donnell and 5 other white dudes so they don't have the slightest clue why a bunch of Iraqis and veterans of the Battle of Fallujah are absolutely pissed that this game is possibly going to be released, because they've got no frame of reference. I hope they realize how stupid this idea is, especially now that it's getting major media coverage, and then throw away the idea permanently, but videogame techbros can be some intensely stupid people so who knows. They claim that it's going to tell the whole story of the Battle of Fallujah, from both the Coalition side and the Iraqi civilian side, but the amount of time spent telling each side doesn't seem very equal.  It's the most monumentally stupid poo poo I've seen in a while. Call of Duty is dumb war porn poo poo but at least they loving change the names around, usually. Also, it's absolutely not going to tell about launching rifle grenades into windows of houses while families cower inside because you and your battle buddies couldn't be sure whether insurgents were inside or not, or seeing a civilian walking down the street and just shooting them in the head because you couldn't be sure whether they were friend or foe, because that would be bad. It won't tell about any of the beatings, the rapes, or the murders that the troops inflicted on the civilian population of the city during the battle, none of that will even get the slightest mention. There's a usb c port on top of the controller but it's still interchangeable AA batteries, not internalized packs. You can still use xbone controllers with series systems. The new button is screenshot/capture poo poo and I hate that I can't remap it to do something else, or nothing at all. I just want a little message that says "gently caress you" to pop up every time I hit that button on accident.
