I beat Creature in the Well which was a free Epic game a little while back. It's short (100%ed it in something like 4 hours) which is honestly a big plus point for me these days. Fun little top down hack and slash game crossed with pinball, recommended if you picked it up but haven't tried it yet. I might use that coupon to get the Outer Wilds DLC if it's valid on that

NFT games are dumb as hell but lol if you think Valve is banning them for virtuous reasons, and not because they are stepping on the toes of the Steam Market economy systems Valve is fine with turning games into combination casino / stock markets / money laundering fronts, ala what they've done with TF2 and CS:GO, as long as Valve is the one getting a cut of every transaction

You do have to download and launch the game on EGS once to properly claim it but after that you can uninstall it

WD2 is a window into a world of non-violent open-world games. I mean there's still a lot of violence if you want it, but you can play it as a puzzle immersive game. Usually it means going out of your way to play in a most boring way (Dishonored, Deus Ex) but in WD2 it means hacking the planet and playing spy games. I understand WD3 is back to being all about shooting people and it's sad.

You're just limited in what you can use because of the "play as anyone" gimmick which didn't really work. It's why the DLC papers over the cracks by letting you play as Aiden or Wrench for the entire campaign instead of a random NPC, since they have access to almost all hacks and Wrench's moveset is entirely non-lethal.

Ahh, okay. That actually sounds surprisingly decent. But I'm also like the one person on earth who cares about Aiden's character arc whatsoever and also Wrench in general so....I guess what I'm saying is that they apparently made that DLC explicitly for me and me alone.

i still never got a watch dogs 2 key from that botched ubisoft promo, even though i am pretty sure i clicked all the buttons exactly like they told me to. i feel like this is the biggest sin a free game giveaway can commit, to not actually give away the free game
