Rise and shine burger thread! I have a sandwich blog and I posted about some sandwich adjacent things that have a focus on the condiment, chili crisp. Had one of my favourite burgs last night, the place I get it from calls it a Tikka Combo, it’s primarily a peri peri chicken burger with a beef patty and salad in a soft floured bun. It doesn’t sound that special in writing but this thing is food of the gods the Chicken is a butterflied breast coated in freshly made peri peri sauce (they have 4 levels of spicy) the salad is more like a slaw and the bun is soft and almost has a chewy texture. Then for some reason they added what must be the cheapest beef patty they could find seriously this is like the kind of beef burger you’d get in prison yet some how it works! I would have snapped a photo but it was my first in a long time and I got over excited.

I smashed three of those last weekend they’re so ridiculously good. I had a burg last week at hit the spot, a cart on Sandy, that gave it a run for it’s money.

Grilled up some burgers tonight. Only had one slice of american cheese left due to secret eating by my wife! The kid got the cheese slice and we ate shredded cheese on top instead. But a day with burgers is never a bad day.
